An understanding of RDBMS concepts, basic E/R diagrams, Windows GUI
General Objectives:
This three-day, instructor-led course introduces students to the Informatica Data Explorer product through lecture and hands-on exercises. The course is designed for users who are new to Informatica Data Explorer.
You will learn to:

Define the content, structure, and quality of highly complex data structures using Informatica Data Explorer (IDE).

Perform three-dimensional structural analysis of data to provide a complete, 100% accurate picture of the data through automated processes.

Discover hidden data quality issues, inconsistencies, and incompatibilities between data sources and target applications.

Apply IDE tags to document anomalies or discovered business rules found through data profiling.

Derive a data cleansing process by using the outputs of IDE profiling.

Describe the purpose, process and value of: drill down, data rules, and foreign key validation normalization.

Communicate information to other data management products using the Repository Navigator.

Work through a complete case study involving multiple complex sources and configure various list boxes to document results.
